Shepherdess with fruit basket - 978 - Fontanini statue 9.5 cm

The Fontanini Shepherdess with fruit basket, model 978, is a figurine that brings to the nativity scene a reminder of simple life and the gifts of the land. The young woman is depicted with a basket full of fruit on her arm, a symbol of abundance, harvest, and rural daily life.

The scene is rendered with great naturalness and attention to detail: the composed posture, the clothing details, and the careful depiction of the basket help create a harmonious and realistic character. The hand-painted coloring enhances the tones and gives depth to the entire figurine, in keeping with the Fontanini artisanal tradition.

Made with quality materials and designed to last over time, the Shepherdess with fruit basket adds an element of lived-in life to the nativity scene, helping make it richer, more dynamic, and closer to the everyday reality of the period.
